Application Process

All applications are made via UCAS  UCAS application website

If you wish to search for a relevant course, you can do this through the Department for Education website.  Please click HERE to be redirected to their website.

We receive your application in school which is then reviewed by senior colleagues from the Salop Teaching School Alliance. We will look at your experience and qualification relevancy and will invite you to interview in school if your application meets our criteria.  If you are unsuccessful at this stage, we will inform you of the decision via the UCAS Track facility.  If you are successful we will invite you to interview at school.  The interview will include a mini teach activity, formal interview, subject knowledge and literacy tests.  The programme will be sent to you in advance and you will have 7 days to respond to the invitation.  Interviews will be staged throughout October to July.

You will either be offered a conditional of unconditional place on the School Direct programme you have applied for.  A conditional place may be based on your successful completion of your degree if you are still at university, or gaining more experience observing in a secondary school.
