Specialist Leaders of Education and Subject Specialist
Integral to the concept of Teaching Schools is the belief in system reform and improvement through mutual support and collaboration between practitioners. Teaching Schools are a central point of contact for the support schools need to ensure that the overall effectiveness of their organisation is good or better. This ranges from the identification of CPD needs within the secondary and primary sector and the provision of our Teacher Enrichment and Recently Qualified Teacher Programmes, to targeted SLE deployment.
Specialist leaders of education (SLEs) are outstanding middle and senior leaders who have the skills to support individuals or teams in similar positions in other schools. They understand what outstanding leadership practice in their area of expertise looks like and are skilled in helping other leaders to achieve it in their own context.
If you would like more information about requesting SLE or subject specialist support or how to become an SLE please email Alison Bell, Assistant Principal and Director of Teaching Schools firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
