Reuben has led improvements in Teaching & Learning and Staff Development for 6 years, currently at Idsall School and previously in Herefordshire. His focus is on positive, staff-led, evidence based development of both teaching skills
and students’ learning processes. He is also experienced in establishing coaching programmes, ITT development and Science curriculum management.
Reuben is experienced in both interrogation of existing monitoring and evaluation data to assess the performance of school strategies, and in the identification of any gaps in information which should be plugged. He can also advise on how
to empower staff teams to translate those conclusions into effective and measureable strategies, with staff ownership and accountability, and which lead to quantifiable improvements in teaching and learning.
Reuben also has first-hand experience of leading a smooth transition into a new build as part of Academy conversion. This involved directing the architects to translate a vision of teaching and learning into physical reality, and then preparing
staff to exploit the new environment from day one with training in effective teaching styles and technologies.
