Jenni is the Assistant Headteacher for Behaviour, Welfare and Inclusion at Thomas Adams School.  Prior to this, she was a Senior Teacher for 5 years in charge of strategic and operational Teaching and Learning and CPD, she was also a successful Head of MFL for 13 years.

Jenni is currently in charge of a large pastoral team and works closely with staff, pupils, parents and outside agencies to improve the behaviour for learning in her school.  She is also a Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Previously, Jenni lead on improving whole school Teaching and Learning by developing and delivering research based CPD for staff in her school.  She has done extensive work on Higher Order Questioning and Marking and Feedback across the school, she has also spent time as the whole school Literacy Coordinator.  She is very experienced in line managing departments and the performance management of staff. 

Jenni has worked closely with Subject Leaders across her school and elsewhere in her role as an SLE, developing KS3, KS4 and KS5 provisions, ensuring Schemes of Learning and assessments are improved and by embedding good department monitoring and evaluation systems.  Jenni has also supported local schools during recruitment processes and has delivered bespoke CPD sessions in a number of schools.

 

Jenni created and delivers a Teacher Enrichment Programme and the Behaviour for Learning part of the ITT provision for the Shropshire Teaching Alliance’s PGCE course.  She also leads on the Women Leading in Education initiative and is currently coaching a number of women who are looking to further their careers in education.
