Caroline has worked in the Priory School Humanities department for the last 11 years, gaining a wealth of leadership experience in a number of areas; Geography and Psychology being specialist subjects to GCSE level. Take up and results for GCSE Geography and Psychology at the Priory School are well above the national average. Caroline is currently covering the role of Head of Psychology, whilst completing NPQML. She has vast experience in organising and leading field trips and enrichment trips both in the UK and abroad (with visits to countries such as Iceland). She has also worked closely with the Head of Geography in a number of areas, particularly with the analysis of data to support achievement, to introduce the new curriculum programme, and support of Associate Teachers through the Initial Teacher Training programme.
Caroline is a Head of House, a role which transitioned from Head of Year two years ago. The role involves monitoring attainment data, role modelling behaviour and delivering planning meetings, and providing a holistic experience for the students in her House. She has been in post for 8 years, gaining a wealth of experience in student welfare issues, working with multi agency teams regarding behavioural and medical issues, and liaising closely with SLT and House Tutors to support all students, with particular emphasis on gifted and talented, SEN and PPI groups, in order to raise student achievement. In recent years, she has collaborated with the SENCo and EWO to create supportive reduced timetables for vulnerable students.
Caroline has organised whole school enrichment events, including a World Record attempt and a variety of events for charity. This has involved regular contact and consultation with a number of national agencies, staff and the local community, risk assessment and press releases.
