Through an iterative design and make workshop we will explore the notion of user centred design. Delegates will take away a number of teaching resources which they can use when delivering the new GCSE D&T specification and will make a number of prototypes. Delegates will have the opportunity of working with a wide range of materials in order to solve problems for
elderly users. This will be a good opportunity to explore some of the differences of working with a contextual task.
This will be an opportunity for both novices and experts to explore how to introduce, develop and support Electronics & Programmable Components. Looking at the opportunities that this aspect of D&T offers in re-imagining and re-engineering projects by using a range of Electronic and Programmable circuits, along with methods for modelling simple, yet high quality prototype enclosures .
